Once you have obtained your Indian eVisa Airport and Seaports for Entry , the next step is to check the list of authorised seaports and airports. This list will be updated every few months, as the India Immigration Authority continues to add new seaports and airports. If you have an electronic visa, you must enter the country through one of the 28 international airports designated for electronic visa entry. After entering, you may exit at any authorised Immigration Check Post.
OCI cardholders no longer need a visa to enter India
OCI cardholders no longer need securing a visa for entering India. However, there are some prerequisites. If you have a divorce, you must mention in your divorce court order that you have legal custody of your child. In addition, you must have a current passport with a “U” visa sticker. If you want to apply for an OCI card, you must have a child’s birth certificate apostilled by an Indian diplomatic mission abroad.
Since 2005, the Indian government has provided guidelines to OCI cardholders, allowing them to travel to India with expired foreign passports. But these guidelines have not been fully scrutinized and have not been implemented for this year. Mr Bhandari has said that he is hopeful that the issue of tourist visas will be resolved soon. However, the Indian government has been restoring the validity of existing visas.

However, COVID-19 vaccination is not required for those under the age of 10 years. Merchant seamen and airline crew also do not need to undergo COVID-19 testing. However, those traveling from countries with a red or amber list must present a valid Travel Certificate prior to boarding an airplane. Passengers may be quarantined upon arrival.
Passengers must complete the COVID-19 testing at least 72 hours before their scheduled arrival. The COVID-19 vaccination certificate must be valid for at least five years, and all passengers must present a confirmed hotel reservation for a minimum of seven days in the approved location. Applicants must also bring a copy of their boarding confirmation and medical insurance coverage.

Applying for an exit permit if you’re leaving India on a different passport or ETD
If you’re traveling with a different passport, you may be wondering how to apply for an exit permit. It’s not difficult to do, but there are some rules that you should follow. You’ll need to know your passport number, and your eTA approval email should include it. Incorrectly entered numbers may cause problems at the airport and prevent you from flying to Canada.
Your passport must be valid for at least 180 days at the time of your travel. You also must have two blank pages available in your passport for visa application. Make sure that your passport is machine readable, as well as have 2 blank pages available. Also, be sure to fill in the online application form, which can take from five to fifteen working days. This means you should factor this time into your flight bookings.
