The Government of India requires a face photograph of you when you apply for an Indian visa online. The photo must be at least two inches square and have a resolution of 350 x 350 pixels, which is roughly two inches. The face should cover 50-60 percent of the entire photo, so there’s no need to worry about scenery and shadows. If your picture is not perfect, the government may ask for an additional photo.
2×2 inch
You must submit two recent 2×2 inch passport type photographs to apply for an Indian visa. These photos should show your full face, from the top of your head to the bottom of your chin. The photo should be in natural color with a head size of 35mm to 40mm. If the photo does not contain a white background, you should not submit it. Your photos should not be stapled or taped to the application.
Color

No shadows

No scenery
For an Indian Visa, a person’s photo must show their full head, with a background of plain white or light colors, and no distracting shadows or colors. Size

Format
